I would like to state for the record that I don't find Howard Stern even remotely interesting, and mostly offensive. So, I choose to ignore him... much like how I deal with Christians and Fox News. But "whatever makes your ass go up", (a cat owner reference) is my attitude toward them all. But the subject of this article IS VERY offensive. Christian Extremists running ruff shod over the rest of us.
Aaron and Marie entered a contest a while back on the Howard Stern Show...Christianity: America's Very Own State Sponsored Fundamental Extremist Terrorists. Again, Proud to be Uhmericun!
Before you pre-judge, the Howard Stern show, both on the visual side and the radio side, are only available through paid services, one being Sirius Radio, NOT controlled by the FCC and NOT public access.
The contest, like MOST Stern's offered had a corny name and corny idea.
It was called "Ugliest Guys, Hottest Wife".
There was NO nudity or lewd language, no sexual "positions" or inappropriate or suggestive moments.
The prize was for $5,000, and the winner's, Aaron and Marie, were very happy because Marie was a teacher and was going to return to school to get her Masters in teaching.
When the fundamental extreme religious conservatives, ( most likely republicans and Christians) in her town found out about this, (which means someone must have been watching or listening, like most conservatives, in secret, allowing them to do the things they damn all the heathens for doing) they made sure she no longer works in the school, even though I heard sound bites of parents stating she was a great teacher and the kids love her and another saying what someone does in their private life doesn't matter (how very conservative republican, less governmental eyes into our private lives).
The husband, Aaron, called into the show and stated he couldn't really talk about it, but what he did relate was that she was not fired, though the Union lawyers spoke with her, (Teacher Unions are NOT what the conservatives want you to believe they are, they are like ALL other politicians', "in bed with" who they are supposed to be protecting us from), they did not seek outside counsel and Marie, the teacher, had tenure.
Basically, she should not have lost her job, or been told that she should resign, hinting at future pressure from parents and the school, which would most-likely make her life miserable.
I say, it all worked out for the better, though the children will suffer.
Marie will not have a "fired" on her resume and with this time off she can go back to school, but truly, how much school can you get with $5,000?
Not much.
But at least she is a way from a school that is apparently motivated by religion, scare tactics and threats.
Just another way religious extremist, Christian ones not Muslim ones are a threat to America, and the world!
