While I may indeed post my own observations in my own words, or original pieces, my main purpose envisioned from the beginning was simply to have a place to post articles and links to articles that I come across from day to day that relay my interests and concerns. It should not, however, be assumed that the issues and articles that I post here are the sum total of my interests and concerns.
I used to write pieces of my own fairly frequently. But as time takes its toll on my health it is becoming more difficult for me to verbalize my concerns. So, I let others do my speaking for me. This does not mean that I willfully plagiarize anything from anyone. I post links to articles originating elsewhere and name the original author when possible. Articles that I post in full are usually from sources which have given me permission to re-post their work. If I do not have expressed permission, I quote enough of the article to state the main thesis and provide a link to the original. This is done under the "Fair Use Doctrine".
I am a irreverent, non-theist Buddhist who is decidedly left leaning. And I don't mean "Democrat". I once believed that I was part of a noble society. It was some time before I realized what the real problem with that society actually was. And it was in what the teachings of virtually every major prophet has ever said it was: greed. Greed comes into existence from our attachment to that which we can never really have — or that which never actually existed in the first place! Money itself is worth only what value we arbitrarily place upon it. Military power doesn't actually win over the conquered. But a winning personality may (or may not) move the masses without force.
As I follow world events and witness what people will do to each other and the poverty which the wealth and power of this world creates I am saddened. And the majority of people go on with their insignificant little lives turning a blind eye to the corruption which promises oppression if they do not speak up or take action. This site is an expression of that sadness in hopes that it may in some small way point others to truth's which we all must face. We must decide whether we support a system which will kill us all at some point or if we stand against the greed and oppression and fight for what is ours — our dignity and life.
This site is a work in progress. It is not, nor is it intended to be, commercial in any way. It is really just a venue for me to vent my frustrations. I am not seeking an audience and am therefore not attempting to please anyone here except myself... and I am hard to please under normal circumstances.
This site is really just my sounding board. If you like the material I pass along here, Great! If you don't like it, the site design, or me personally, I don't really care. You can click here to leave or simply go fuck yourself. I'm an asshole. But you might be one, too!
As it is a work in progress there will likely be some inconsistencies across some of the pages here. But hopefully nothing that will block the visitor from the content contained herein. I will be adding, combining, and deleting pages from time to time which may cause dead links. If you find a dead link or other problem with the site and wish to help me out, you could notify me of the problem here. It will be most appreciated.
