Blagojevich arrested by federal authorities and charged with corruption

Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich (D) of Illinois was arrested by federal authorities on Tuesday morning and charged with corruption, including an allegation that he conspired to effectively sell President-elect Barack Obama's seat in the United States Senate to the highest bidder. A 76-page affidavit from the United States Attorney's office in the Northern District of Illinois says Mr. Blagojevich was heard on wiretaps over the last month planning to "sell or trade Illinois' United States Senate seat vacated by Pres-elect Barack Obama for financial and personal benefits for himself and his wife."

I realize that this is not exactly "breaking news" at this point. I am not going to try to defend the Governor. I don't really know whether he did anything or not. But as the United States Attorney's office has been appointed and anointed by the Bush Regime and purged of any who may not see things the way the Regime wants them viewed, I personally find the whole thing suspect and fascinating.

"Suspect" because at this point it should be obvious that ANYTHING that this government does is done for ulterior motives and "fascinating" because what has been obvious for years is still largely ignored and accepted by the docile sheeple.

I want to know when someone is going to grow balls and take their country back as they are doing in Greece! All those fascists had to do was kill one fifteen year old boy. How many thousands of young men are we going to allow this corrupt government kill before we get pissed? And can we really believe any charge that they bring against anyone?

I'm not saying for one moment that the Democrats aren't JUST as "in the pocket" of the banks and corporations. But I would put forward that this is just another chapter of the Rove play book in which they are trying to leave a legacy... as if they don't already have one! A really bad one.
