Bush insists Kosovo must be independent and receives hero's welcome in Albania

George Bush declared yesterday that he had made up his mind that Kosovo should be an independent country, throwing down the gauntlet to Russia and challenging President Vladimir Putin to abandon attempts to block the path to statehood at the UN security council.
Bush insists Kosovo must be independent and receives hero's welcome in Albania

It is rare that I question a declaration of independence from anyone. However, if history has taught us anything, when George Bush advocates anything, that subject should immediately become suspect and closer scrutiny be employed. We all know by now that if his lips are moving he is in all likelihood lying. And when he is waging a war against Islam around the globe it strikes me as suspicious when he supports a bid for autonomy by a predominantly Muslim state, as is Kosovo. And furthermore, why would he alienate Russia over such a state? Something is not adding up. Are we to understand that George Bush is suddenly doing "the right thing"? I find this proposition highly suspect.
