And they bicker against one another... Part Two

Oh Partha, those who are foolish reject the real meanings of the Vedas out of attachment to those ornamental statements which glorify the pursuits of celestial pleasures, but which yield only poisonous effects. They say there is no higher truth than these.

I am bemused as much as bedeviled by people who "believe" that by virtue of their religion that their truth is the only truth and that their interpretation of that truth nullifies the validity of any other scripture or perspective.

Let's face it. Most people become Christian, Vedantic, Muslim, or virtually any other faith simply because of the Geo-Social nature of their place of birth. They are raised to believe that their truth is the only truth, by and large. And when they find their voice, identity, self, the bickering begins. And anything that remotely suggests that they might be wrong is, in a word, "manure".

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I tend to believe that there is truth and instruction in all holy scripture. And that those who dismiss such instruction are exactly who prophets and saviors were warning against. "...they bicker among one another..."
